Summer
In Season 2 (1972), a youth-oriented production was staged in the summer. In Season 6 (1976), this became an annual feature of the summer shows, which became known as "Summer Mummers." Over time, summer shows became indistinguishable from Mainstage productions, except perhaps by having more young people on summer break involved. Beginning in Season 48 (2018), summer shows became part of the Mainstage season.
